The Lodi Six pledges to value and respect all Township residents through clear, consistent, and kind interactions at Township Hall and at Board meetings.
The Lodi Six values environmental stewardship and land conservation efforts. We will preserve Lodi Township’s environment, natural resources, and rural character.
The Lodi Six will put to use its experience in zoning, assessing, election administration, and financial oversight to deliver impartial and high-quality services for our neighbors.
Barry Wauldron has a long and diverse career in public service. He's worked as a certified teacher and lecturer at University of Michigan - Dearborn for 12 years. Barry's years of teaching diverse student groups has prepared him to effectively listen, inform and communicate with township residents.
Barry also has years of experience as a certified township assessor and code enforcement officer, bringing knowledgeable leadership to the assessing and zoning processes.
Barry earned degrees in planning and historic preservation from Eastern Michigan University and looks forward to bringing a progressive approach to township planning, emphasizing the conservation of farmland and open spaces. As a land owner and long active in the sustainable agriculture movement, Barry highly values Lodi Township's agricultural community and will be a strong advocate for farmers.
Eric John Roberts, MMC, is one of only 60 Michiganders to become a Master Municipal Clerk, completing training for 2000+ hours of local clerk duties including elections and accounting while he was a Deputy Clerk and Elections Coordinator. He has been a poll worker for 20+ elections and has trained over 100 poll workers in election day procedures.
He holds a Graduate Certificate in Election Administration from the University of Minnesota, and from Grand Valley State University earned a B.A. in Public and Nonprofit Administration. He is a current law student at The University of Toledo and a trustee for the Michigan Center for Civic Education, building civic knowledge K-12 across Michigan.
The Township Clerk is responsible for elections, records management, public records requests, and accounting. Eric John will work hard to keep Lodi elections safe and the Township government accessible.
Finn Roberts is a multimedia artist and student at Washtenaw Community College. He is inspired by the role that public art plays in building community and embracing our differences without shame.
As your Trustee, Finn Roberts will push for more water testing resources for residents and pursue regional transit opportunities to connect our community.
Alex Matelski is a conservation expert working at the Creature Conservancy alongside human and animal peers. He knows and shares the stories of hundreds of animals with thousands of visitors each year.
As your Trustee, Alex will make resources more understandable and encourage more residents to get involved locally.
Steve Marsh and his family have called Lodi Township home for the last 31 years. Steve and his wife have owned and operated several small businesses in the township during this time, providing services and jobs to the community. Steve continues to volunteer daily at The Creature Conservancy, a non-profit nature center in Lodi, where he specializes in wildlife education.
As your Trustee, Steve Marsh will work to ensure that small businesses are able to thrive in Lodi Township.
Leslie Blackburn is a founding member of Livable Lodi that advocates for sustainable land-use practices and community-driven decision-making. Leslie spent 15 years in corporate management and engineering prior to their shift to self-empowerment and community care work.
As your Trustee, Leslie will bring more neighbors to the table to make decisions and preserve Lodi's natural resources. Leslie's platform centers on three pillars: Protect the Land, Share the Process and Empower the People.
The Lodi Six will work with you to strengthen our community and preserve our environment. We hope you'll join us.
